In general, you may post any material written in a courteous and mature manner, providing that it is on-topic for the forum to which you are posting. We will not interfere with the communication of thoughts and ideas as long as they do not break any of the following rules. Forum Administrator's decisions are final and will not be up for debate. These rules are subject to change at anytime without notice.
You may NOT post or place in a signature any material that:
• Attacks or insults others on the board. Feel free to debate the idea, but do not turn your disagreement into a personal attack upon the poster or any person or group.
• Engages in name-calling, harassment, or threats.
• Contains obscenity, vulgarity, profanity or is sexually explicit. Using letters, numbers or symbols to replace letters in swear words that make the word sound or look the same as the original word will not be allowed.
• Ridicule any religion, race, nation, gender, or sexual orientation.
• Is considered inappropriate for everyone covered by our ESRB rating. Including Children and Teenagers up.
• Infringes upon anyone's privacy rights.
• Is off-topic for the forum. These Forums are provided to enable members to help each other in sharing their passion for the game or provide technical help. There is a forum labeled General Discussion for topics that don't relate directly to any of our games or the company. However, be aware that the Rules of Conduct will still be enforced. Do not assume it is a board that welcomes every discussion; debating religion, arguing politics, looking for romantic partners, and attacking other games or companies are all examples of topics better suited for other boards and websites.
Additionally, you may NOT:
• Make multiple posts on the same subject for the purpose of getting attention paid to your issue.
• Post comments in threads for the purpose of drawing attention to another thread on a different subject.
• "Bump" or "/sign" threads.
• Cross-post the same topic to multiple forums or the same message to multiple threads.
• Make replies to posts that do not pertain to or are irrelevant to the original topic.
• Troll the forums. *An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.. An example of trolling would be posting to a thread without the intent to provide constructive suggestions or comments and instead making disruptive comments* pulled from Wikipedia.com.
• Post topics addressed directly to another player. The Phantom EFX forums have a private messaging system for conversations between two players. If you want to contact someone directly, use the private messaging system. This is to alleviate posters having conversations back and forth that clutter the board and don't involve other readers. Personal messages of birthdays, anniversaries, condolences, etc are allowed.
• Use the forums to debate private issues. The forum is for all Phantom EFX customers. If you have an issue with other players or groups, deal with it outside of the public forums in a private space.
• Solicit for guild membership on the general discussion boards. Please use the forums that were set up for this purpose or head over to the online game.
• Use the official forums as a staging ground for creating general unrest within the game or forums, such as sit-ins, polls, petitions, etc.
• Post exploits, cheats, hacks, or links to websites or domains that contain such material.
• Advertise products or websites that are not related to Phantom EFX publishing or development.
• Making posts dedicated to asking why other posts were removed from the board. Phantom EFX holds the right to remove any thread from the board for any reason, if a customer wishes to know the reason they may contact a forum admin.
• Make posts seeking or giving feedback about Customer Service, Tech Support or Online Support resolutions. All requests and feedback about Customer Service, Tech Support, and Online Support issues should be handled through email or our support ticket system; you can access this by going to www.PhantomEFX.com and click support.
• Make a post in a negative manor or demeanor. Phantom EFX Message Boards are a place for fans of Reel Deal to gather and discuss topics, not a place for people who hate or dislike the company or it's employees. Constructive criticism and ideas are always welcome, just be careful how you word your posts.
• Post information or links to websites containing cracks or copies of our game to be downloaded illegally on our website or any other. As well as information on how to work around or backwards engineer our copyright protection. This will result in an instant ban from the message board, our online game as well as legal action from the company. Phantom EFX works hard to protect our software and our game community and those who steal from the company will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
• Post private conversations with support staff or forum administrators. Private conversations with a Phantom EFX employee should be considered private and not meant for public eyes. Anyone who posts their private conversations with employees on our message board or their own will face a ban from our message boards and online services
All of these rules apply to the forums as well as to the private message system.
Please note that these rules also apply for communication with any Phantom EFX employees. This includes emails.
Action that we might take in regard to a post in violation of these rules may vary depending upon the degree of severity. It may include any number of the following.
• Deletion of the post/thread. .
• Banishment (for any disclosed amount of time depending on how many times the user has been warned before)
• Permanent banishment from forum and online game (for repeated offenders of the previous rules).
• Legal Action (I.e. contacting law enforcement personnel in regard to a threat)
Those who violate the rules of the boards may or may not receive any warning before action is taken. Philosophically and administratively, there is no difference between conduct in-game and conduct on the Message Boards.
Things the Support Staff or Forum Moderators WILL MOST LIKELY NOT Respond To:
• Private messages asking gameplay questions. When we can answer questions that are posted in discussion threads, we will. However, we will not reveal anything privately that we will not reveal in public. If you have questions, you should first read the knowledge base or ask your fellow community members.
• Private Messages asking for a response to a particular thread. We read as many threads on these boards as possible and respond to those to which we feel we can best contribute. Asking us to look at or respond to a certain thread will not cause us to answer a question that we otherwise wouldn't.
• Rumors regarding internal Phantom EFX development or affairs. Although we would love to answer every rumor or question that surface, if we start responding to that kind of post certain people will just use them to try to bait a response out of us. The lack of a response from us is not an acknowledgment of truth, just a sign that we won't dignify such threads with a response.
Fan sites that use our in-game or website graphics must follow these rules or must remove our copy written materials off their site.
• There must be no posting of illegal or pornographic material on your site. All posted content must abide by Phantom EFX standards of a clean website.
• The website administrator must agree to resolve problems pointed out to them by Phantom EFX or a customer. If a Phantom EFX employee or Customer is being harassed by the content or visitors on the site, the administrator must take actions to find a solution within 48 hours of contact.
• There will be no attacking, harassment or posting of personal information of Phantom EFX employees. Any personal information posted about Phantom EFX employees without their consent can be harmful to the person’s well being.
