Game Not Responding

When i am loading a slot Ii keep getting Game not Responding and the screen goes black or changes to a lite color almost like a fog on the page. It finally loads after a while but in tournaments the tournament has already started. Do i need to do something with computer (disk CLean up Ect) seemed to really start happening after last set of npc's were added.
